My company received 10 next gen T680 trucks within recent months and immediately began having a multitude of issues with them which Kenworth has been unable to effectively address and resolve. This is to the point to where the company decided to cease its long-standing relationship with Kenworth, canceling other trucks that were on order, and instead has decided to order International LT trucks in the future.
I personally don't want anything to do with a Paccar product anymore.

Funny how build quality went to #### right around the time they went away from the tried and true B cab to the robot assembled 2.1M cab.
And they say AI/robots will take away jobs lol.Magoo1968, Blagoje, Sons Hero and 1 other person Thank this. -
I went from a 1st Gen to a Next Gen. This new truck is a rattling piece of garbage. I was fine with the continual CEL, because the truck ran fine. However, dropping an injector, Sunday, is beyond irritating. Luckily, it decided to start firing again, this morning. I’m really hoping it straightens itself out, given it just spent 2wks in the shop for injectors, a month ago.
PACCAR is a synonym for junk. -
Dd15 spent 7400 on injectors 20k later another injector down new ones had loose prong which caused a severe engine knock and fuel derate . Nobody builds good parts or it’s hit and miss it seems.

Other than that, a wiring harness corrosion behind the steering wheel that took 6 hrs to find. No other issues in 160K miles. 8.8 mpg, pulling a three axle trailer in the PNW at three over the limit.
The only reason I buy Kenworth is our local dealer. Period. Dealer support is the only thing that really makes a difference, all trucks are over-engineered, under-built plastic junk.ducnut Thanks this. -
Accidental Trucker and Magoo1968 Thank this.

More than likely going with a Peterbilt 579 mid roof with a big boy X15 on my next truck. I've ran several newer trucks with paccars and besides some good fuel mileage, I wasn't impressed. Like I said in a previous post, after 10k miles my KW next gen started rattling like hell after just 10k miles brand new.
