Hi guys,
My 2014 T680 started overheat yesterday while i drive bobtail only!! , it gets to 200 very quick, id say in 10 minutes then it goes up to 220-225 within 7-8 minutes; then fan kicks on and it stays there until i come to a stop, i went to KW dealer, they say engine temp is ok by checking thru their computer, what would cause this issue? Anyone had such thing before? Should i replace the thermostat, water pump and coolant sensor? I even washed the front of radiator and it wouldn't help, please advise if you can, thanks
KW T680 water temp stays 220 and doesnt drop even the fan is on

Have a shop check the system with an inferred temperature gun and see if its actually over heating, my guess is its not as you stated KW said it was fine with the computer hooked up. Its most likely the sending unit that send temp to the dash gauge thats gone breasts up on ya.

Need more info. What was outside temp. Is this something that just started happening the other day? Never did it in past?

When KW dealer said temp is ok. Are they saying that it is reading properly? Get yourself a Thermo heat gun, to make sure the temperature is correct. Check the radiator, bottom hose block thermostat area. If the temp is correct, could be that your thermostat is not opening all the way.spsauerland Thanks this.

Maybe it’s unrelated. But drive it a while with the ac off. When ac system gets hot the fan turns on.

When was the last time you cleaned out the rad?
Xenergiserx and spsauerland Thank this. -

Sounds to me like the coolant has poor circulation. What engine?
spsauerland Thanks this. -
