Any one w/ W900L post you fuel mileage please. What you pull, where you run and at what speed? (reefer, flat, OD, dry, etc...tandem - spread and approx weight) Also include specs: type of motor: Cat or Cummins and the yr. Don't really need to hear "whys" and the "ifs", just your personal experience first hand. Thanks.

How fast do you run? Not to get too personal or get you burned at the stakes by the righteous, so we'll use a simple codes:
A) 55 / 63 mph
B) 65 /70 mph
C) 70+ mph
D) Posted speed limited, no matter where
I mean we all know what we "should" be doing but some habits are hard to break. -
I know a couple users have gotten better mpg in a 379 Peterbilt than with a W900 from the posters are posting. Even my Columbia does not get better than 6.

I cruise at 72-110mph, truck has to move. Best i got OTR with it was about 5.7 and that was lucky, local id see 6.5 but i dont do that anymore.

2000 2WS 550 Cat. 18 double over trans. 3.36 rears. I run a spread axle flat, weight varies. I run between 63 and 67 MPH. Average 6.3 MPG.

I'm contemplating on switching over to flat (spread) and creature comfort is of high priority as well as making $$. Don't mind taking a slight hit on the fuel side but just don't want to pour everything back in the fuel tank either. Not looking at anything older than 3 yrs on TK (maybe 4 yrs on alum spread) and I don't see the return on buying new either. I got my eyes set on W9 but I could be tortured into something else. Hopefully not, since that'll take the fun out of it.
