As for Swift's fuel being sub quality, I filled up @ Laredo before my current trip. Getting 8.3 MPG. If that's poor quality fuel sign me up for more!

As for Swift selling fuel minus the IFTA tax, B U L L S H I T! I buy as much as 75% of my fuel from terminals some months and my IFTA tax statements are spot on. Besides, that would be illegal.

    Any more myths??

I bought fuel over in Columbus about 6 months ago and within 150 miles I had to buy new filters, but that was a one time deal.

Well who knows what problems they may still be having on the East Coast, But those two Terms are such a hassle to get to, that unless your already there, it costs more for the OOR mis than the money you will be saving, just IMO.

ON what else you just said.

    OMG! Are you kidding????

I really was under the impression that the IFTA would be covered just the same by buying term fuel as it would be for buying fuel off the street.

Well now with my doubts about the quality of term fuel, I know I shouldn't say that, but when you buy anything cheap, you get cheap results. I would sincerely doubt that the terms use 'high end' quality fuel. I may be wrong, so IMO.

Well I guess I'll skip fueling at the terms for a while unless I really need to. But it seems that Rapid Response or Payroll might be able to answer this question beyond any speculation or shadow of a doubt. So the next time I have a reason to call either one, I'll be sure to ask the question.

Thank you for the info. My minds internal reaction is 'OH CRAP!" I have relied on fueling at terms because I was thinking it was saving me money and that the IFTA taxes would be covered/paid.

    thanx

OOP's, I didn't read the second, 3rd and 4th pages of this thread. Never mind what I just said, I stand corrected.

P.s. Okay I fueled at Denver before a trip to GA with a light Coors can load, 5000 lbs maybe, all flat ground did get approx 8.4 mpg. I fueled in Laredo, 20000 maybe, hills, high winds, two lane roads, 5.7. I am not convinced about the clear water I got from that term. Maybe if the circumstances were different, I would have gotten better results, I just don't know.

Does eveyone know that there is a detailed IFTA report on the Swift O/O site every month. It tells you exacly where you bought fuel and how much tax credit you get. It then nets it out and that is the amount that shows up on your statement - about this time of the month - showing what you owe or are credited.

Also if you have any doubt that any purchases are not being credited, a simple audit of your IFTA statement against your fuel purchases for the month quickly shows any discrepancies.

And yes, we get IFTA credit at the terminals.
