I'm betting there is a HUGE stack of paperwork that were never read, only signed and then tossed in a corner or in the garbage.. I'm also betting that on these signed pages, EVERYTHING good and bad were described in full detail.. These people need to get lawyers BEFORE signing these contracts and not after.. You cannot stop people from slitting their own throats

I was a "company driver paid on 1099" and that's the first order of business when you get to Chicago or wherever the company's domicile is. You take your drug test of course but you initial and sign so many documents. The documents I signed, you don't need a lawyer to know you're getting screwed over. It's plain as day. I signed it knowing I was gonna get screwed but I only worked at that company with the intention of leaving after a year. Many of those companies promise you 88 percent of the line. The problem is, they run a large number of spot market freight, and they live and die running loads in the Northeast, as well as Minnesota, Wisconsin, Chicago in the dead of winter. I feel like in order to be an owner op at one of those companies, you have to run non stop, and be ok with northeast running. I think once that realization hits, thats where the frustration begins. I don't know all of OPs expenses, but if the contract details the expenses, it could be very daunting to score a victory in the lawsuit.Another Canadian driver, Msangel007, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.

Why, yes I am! I loved to give away my money when I had some. @Lonesome remember when we used to play that game with Inga "which pants pocket has the 10 dollar bill?" I lost a lot of money on that game

You must didn't READ OR comprehend. I did say NO, no touch freight 2x and he pretended like he was booking me another load. I didnt know until I pulled up. It was a the post office. I was going to take it back to where I got the load from and they said I was responsible for that load and could get in trouble. So please ask quesriins and don't assume. Those people would leave you steanded and that was not about to happen to me. Again looking for solutions not #### I already know. And for the record I am with an awesome company.
