I'm trying to make sense of an inspection I just received. I've never had any violations before, so I don't have the experience to know if what happened was normal or not.
I just got pulled in for a level 1 inspection. Everything checked out just fine except at the end of it the officer wanted me to come check out a little air leak he heard on a line under the hood. When he pulled on the line a certain way, you could hear it hiss. After pulling it a few times, the line basically self-destructed and air came rushing out. The line in question is the metal braided one from the compressor back to the system (KW T660).
I received one sheet of paper: The usual Driver/Vehicle Examination Report. Listed under violations there's just the one, 393.45, "Air leak from hole in air hose on left side of engine." Out of service, naturally (I can't charge my air system, so I'm not going anywhere. Pressure's still perfect, though ^_^).
So, two questions:
1. The "Citation #" field next to the violation is blank. Should that be blank?
2. I'm not seeing any mention of a fine, nor did the officer mention anything like that. Should there be a fine with this?
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the world of being marked by CSA. I was hit last year at this time. There is a CSA chart saying how many points you get for an air leak. Keep in mind you need to times the point total by 3. It will take 3 years to be clean again, provided you do not get hit for any other violations during this time.
