That's right. At this point, as long as I stay above ground, I've learned to be content lol

I seen a video of a guy who had supposedly researched it out and if we were making the same minimum wage as in the 1960’s with inflation we would be making around $45 an hour for minimum wage. The only way it works is all the financing and credit cards nowadays. Totally crazy.

That's nowhere near right. People can say anything on the internet. Doesn't make it true. Think about it. $45 an hour is a very good wage. Ordinary people in 1960 were not making the equivalent of $45 an hour bagging groceries (a typical minimum wage job) it just doesn't make sense. A quick google search says a $1 from 1960 is the equivalent of $10.95 in today's money.

Yes despite government dept best efforts companies can still exploit workers, although you would think at this level, H1b which is highly trained skilled workers, or those with a Bachelors degree or higher. They would not want to work for cheap rates. It would be up to them to report any below wage pay to the DOL. Companies would be held liable for doing so.

    "Cheap" is relative.

Stay in your home country and do the same basic job for $30,000 US or come to the US and make $100,000 doing a job that should pay $150,000. It's not much of a dilemma. You know you're getting screwed, but half a loaf is better than no loaf at all.

As mentioned in another thread. 'Bring in 3rd World, become 3rd World'. It's not Albert Einstein stuff. As far as I'm concerned former pass governments in The Usa and Canada use to look into immigration deeper and screened better. Yet certain ones since the Millennium started slacking and nolonger caring and we've become a bubble wrap society. Factor in the screening of lower mindset individuals who have a 3rd world mindsets of though. With some even believing in non hygienic practices of drinking cow piss, showering in it or drinking their own. While some even defecate in the open public and now most are working in the North American Fast food restaurants giving you that Big Mac with a smile. People who are born in North America need to wake up and fast.

Plenty of jobs for 20-24 yr olds. The idea they’re living at home due to high unemployment is laughable. Who needs a job when you can live off Mom and Dad.

Nowadays, if the job requires more than looking at a phone for 8-9 hours, the younger set doesn't want the job.
