That's right. The crack was less than an inch. And I also admitted to keeping a close eye on it. Does that not make me a safe driver? And you somehow think that a crack in one brake shoe, less than an inch, is somehow a danger to everyone else on the road. You don't know much about brakes do you? You never heard of people adjusting a break shoe or two all the way in, so they wouldn't touch the drum if applied. Do you know what happens when they do that? NOTHING more than a few more pounds on the other shoes. But still no danger....
But your lack of knowledge, makes you assume that one shoe, with a small crack is somehow, dangerous....Just because "THEY" say so....
I supposed you think that only the government can keep the boogey man out from under your bed too....
Actually, we have regulations because of people like you who support the idea that "only the government can keep us safe"...
