Thank you so much.
Husband and I spoke tonight and we got an idea. We have no idea if this will work or not, but I know a lady who might be able help us. She began working with us not long ago on a new program in order to buy a house.
My thinking is to get a loan, pay off the truck and use it for collateral. With Landair we still had 2 years to pay at around $1600 p/month. We might be able to get a 5 yr. loan which will be easier to pay and we won't be getting kicked all over the place like we have been.
I have no idea if this will work, but tomorrow morning, I'll give it the good old college try.

Is this a lease purchase deal? Or did LandAir finance the truck for you? What does your contract say?
-
depreision rate....... but it is cerently worth a try, and $1600 is way to much For a lease..... GOD THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!! -
The owner's wife did suggest a loan to my husband, but I have no idea if this was what she meant.
On edit: We do know that even with the truck paid off by the bank we're still bound by the contract to remain at Landair. -
Do you or anybody else know if landair owns there lease provider?
my bet is they do, but i am not sure!! -
I would not worry about the driving contract, that will be prety easy to get out of...
-
Most lease purchase plans will allow you to walk away from the truck....check your contract.....I think she is blowing smoke up your rear............
StormDancer Thanks this. -

what i am more concerned about is you not having any money and this is a rarity for me to say this and mean it considering what i am going through right now but i extend any help i can lend literally name it

Don't get me wrong in that I'm defending them as I had nothing to do with the Lease Purchase of the vehicles but i had worked for JB as a company driver with a few complaints and then went to Lease Purchase and it went downhill from that point - good miles at the start and then nothing. So what I'm saying is that once you are hooked into Lease Purchase you can kiss good bye to any chance of living a decent existence as their $$$$ to the company comes first. You could try ring Mr Tweedy and try to find out what the heck is going on - let him know they are on this site - his orientation talk was that if you ever need him about something that could'nt be resolved to talk with him.
I wish there was a way I could help you out in whatever way possible but we still have'nt recovered from the beating I took from JB and we may never get back to where we were.
