Their company, their policy based on their lawyer's interpretation of a very vaguely written law. You want to argue Landstar's policy call them.

One a international shipment crosses the border and is dropped or unloaded at a forwarding warehouse, it becomes a domestic shipment and can only be delivered in the U.S. by a U.S. driver. Same for the opposite. A shipment picking up in the U.S. on this side of the border, then dropped in say, Laredo, is a domestic shipment. It becomes international when the load is picked up to be taken across the border. and taken to a

Landstar is smart. And careful. They would LOVE to move more freight out of their Laredo yard.

There's a legit reason they say no, otherwise they'd let them take all they want.

The Landstar yard at Laredo is one of the most F'd up places on earth. It's all your guys. You'll never see me there.

Don't take a drop and hook to laredo. Be very careful taking any live load there (some agents forget to mention it's a drop n hook) Take a load anywhere else and dead head there.
Im guessing someone did the demo? Lol

    BigHossVolvo Thanks this.

Try to avoid the Landstar terminal like the plague.
I've had very minor issues with shippers and receivers outside the terminal.
Most are FCFS, so you want to stay there, or be there a few hours before they open.

    BigHossVolvo Thanks this.

That has been my experience also with other companies. I’m assuming the Landstar terminal acts like a cross dock? If so, I can see what everyone is complaining about (The Bison company terminal docks were horrible also).
