What is a better choice or are they both the same.. How's LS rates and do you have to solely deal with agents..I heard the agents have their favs already so to speak.. I've been approved to come over but not sure

I did step deck at landstar and found that agents did have their favorites. But isn't that the same every where you go?. Nice thing about LS , is the load alerts. I think its way better than having a coordinator. Maybe a little more honest. Jmo

What is "better" depends on what kind of operation you want to run.

Do you want to be dealing with brokers, negotiating rates and etc to get loads.
Or do you want more simplicity and with no brokers but lose your ability to negotiate (still pick your own loads though and no dispatch).

As far as the biggest difference I think that's it right there.
Lots of open window appointment drop and hook freight at Schneider, from what I've heard it's not as much at Landstar.

What option really depends on you and what lifestyle would make you happy.
BOTH I think are good choices overall.

That's what I told someone the other day and they looked at me like I had three heads.. We really don't know who is empty first or what loads go to who over where we're at.. Coordinators can have their favorite too...
