Well I'm a carrier and I've never had a problem with Landstar process, so idk what the deal is. Landstar has gone to pot with all the independent brokers. I've hauled many loads with Landstar and that's how I got signed up was with the DAT. Just FYI there are better brokers than Landstar
Landstar & DAT not recognizing my tax ID number.

Landstar corporate has figured out that they had a reasonable reputation for OK freight. Years ago, was not easy to get freight as a non-landstar carrier. Usually was the leftovers, they paid good, but carp loads.
Now they are on par with CHR, Coyote, TQL.6wheeler Thanks this. -
The IRS generates a form CP575 when issuing an EIN. This is your proof of assignment of an EIN. Hopefully you've got it somewhere floating around as the IRS doesn't reissue them (or didn't anyway). If you can lay hands on yours, send that to Landstar.
I saved a PDF of mine, for this exact sort of occasion.6wheeler Thanks this. -
Dont pull for Landstar then.
Too many others to get the same exact loads. Been noticing most of Landstar's loads posted on TS are also posted by a dozen other brokers. Very few loads unique to them,.. and those that are have a low rate,.. not negotiable unless you think +$50 is them doing you a solid.
Just my opinion.

Some companies use a verification service which will verify it right away.
