Whats up with the random tomato slice? That a Del Taco thing or a lazy cook thing?
Even with a sliced vs diced tomato, a taco is awesome.
Viva el taco!
Sirscrapntruckalot - If I had to choose between tacos and people, there would be a lot less people in the world.

When we get home for one of our five days ( yearly ) of hometime, we will be decommissioning this pair of sneakers we've had for four years.
That's what it's like at Landstarve. You have to make a pair of shoes last four years.Sirscrapntruckalot, Lonesome, D.Tibbitt and 3 others Thank this. -
Hammer166, Geekonthestreet, TB John and 8 others Thank this.

I thought you guys could finance shoes through the BCO program. Dollar a week for 84 weeks. Just don’t quit before you pay them off or else you will have to turn them in with you tag.

I would say it isnt hard, but let me say that for ME it wasnt hard. I know math is difficult for a lot of people, but it comes naturally to me, so let me try to explain, and Im not trying to be condescending in this:
First thing I look at is loads coming HOME. When and where they come from. Then I look at the higher paying ones, where loads are going to THEM. Then I try to figure out how to get there. Usually it works out to be a triangle. Example Minnesota to Tennessee to Ohio to Minnesota, and takes about a week.
The thing is, people get hung up on rate per mile. I dont look at that. I figure how many hours I am going to be away from home and how much Im going to make on a given "route" and figure my rate per hour away from home.
For example, I have a few runs I do on a semi regular basis. One was to Louisville, back to Indy and then home. The other was to Indy and back (the one I do now). The Louisville one actually pays MORE (by $.10 a mile - or $1700 a week if you prefer to look at it that way), but if you work out the pay per hour that you are away from home, the straight Indy and back pays $25 more an HOUR. How you ask? The Louisville run I have 6 more hours of driving time and that means I have to take another 10 hour break. My home time means more to me than the bennies... My priorities arent the same as everyone elses, you have to do what makes you happy.
Edit: That 1700 is BEFORE Landstars cut...Last edited: Apr 19, 2022
