I don't think this one is a head gasket... unlike when my 386 failed and it was like 16 gallons of coolant for 1200 miles home.. I am going to start with testing injector cups first and go from there... it's just hard to find the time

I don't know if it's the same on cummins motors but when I had injector seals go bad on the Detroit. Fuel was leaking in to the coolant.

It wasn't using a coolant at all. It just kicked a light on. I don't remember what it said but when I opened the hood. The reservoir was completely full with fuel taking up what should have been air for coolant expansion.

Man, I wish you were closer than Az. I got the guy/shop in San Antonio. He'd have it diagnosed and fixed quick, fast and in a hurry.

And you said demandated, but are there actual block off plates on the egr to prevent coolant flow?

Or you could do like this other dude did on his 389, which was yank the ISX and stick an E model Cat in it lol.

    cke and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

I dont want to hijack this thread but i will say It is a money problem mostly. I will have it figured out when I get more then a couple hours off at the house and can put together enough money where I can afford to eat atleast 2 packs of Ramen noodles per week

I’ll hijack it. Lol. Just noticed on Facebook all the Trucks for sale. Plenty to choose from. 2019’s for $25000 all day long. Doesn’t look like anything is selling. Overpriced.

I'm seeing 35 for 18 & 19 models. With only one being worth considering since it has a 10 sp and 450k miles.

I'm thinking of going over to Bennett Specialized this New Year. . I just need some consistency! Every time I ask around there's good stories and bad stories, but that's the norm for all the bigger outfits. I been doing a lot of loads up to 12'. . My top question is, do they put you right on the OSOW, or do they make you wait around and prove you can make a schedule for a while?
