I think in the end I'd do about the same as if I were leased on to landstar. The only thing is I don't have to put up with all the bs that comes with being leased on to someone. That alone is worth a price. Also landstar doesn't broker out the real good loads, unless they have a dire need. And the most a landstar agent will give an outside truck is I think 85% of gross.

from most of post ive read being o/o as long is your truck has a warrranty youll be fine even on the slow weeks cause that is one less dollar going to a mechanic.but no matter what working for your self or a company still someone is going to get a cut of your earnings and its better to confirm that load with the shipper after your done talking with your agent,cover your ##* people are always complaining about something just work hard and it will pay you back in the long run.
