They might use the same online app service/program. I've filled out apps before on 2 different computers and after the initial page I guess it picked up on my info. I filled out most of the app just by typing the first 2 or 3 letters/numbers in every box and it auto-filled the rest and just hit enter. Makes it easier if it works out that way. Might not be it, but that's my guess.

    Welcome to the club.

Another 2-3 weeks I'll be running under my own authority, and Landstar has yet to move forward with my application.

One thing I learned real quick with the application process is that you need to be proactive. I literally drove Jody at qualifications and also Darla in recruiting crazy. Every time Jody asked me for something, I faxed it to her and Darla at the same time, then I followed up with a phone call to each of them. There were several times where Darla would run interference for me with e mails and faxes. I'm glad I did too. I know in one instance Jody told me she was missing paperwork from me, even though I sent her everything she sent me. That was the problem. She thought she sent me over 20 pages of forms and contracts, when I only received 7 pages.
In the end, it took 3 weeks from the day I put the app in until I was cleared for orientation.
This was by far the most time consuming process I've ever experienced to get on with a company. I think it was worth it, but I've only been leased on for two weeks. But I'm getting some good paying loads going where I want to go when I want to go there. Hopefully it will keep up this way.

Oh, I was proactive at first. I gave them 3 weeks to get their #### together after submitting my application, then I called them until I couldn't stand their #####y condescending attitudes towards me. Their behaviour soured me on the thought of being a BCO, and now I'm just riding it out as a social experiment to see how little they really care.

I didn't go through the two representatives that you did though. Mine were through qualstar or something. Applied online after waiting 2 months until I was old enough, then another week dealing with server issues. Had to fill out the entire application 5 or 6 times to get it to go through, even having registered an account to avoid such a problem.

I'm glad you got through it and are finding work. Being proactive is excellent advice for anyone deadset on becoming a BCO.

They accept ONE out of every FIVE applicants. I found out average time to get on is 6-8 weeks. They only want the best of the best and my guess is they want to make sure you can handle the pressure of being a business owner. If you want it bad enough Barroll, pursue it. Nothing worth having in life comes easy.

Yes they are worth the hassle !! I guess I was lucky , only took me 4 days to get hired. Applied on Monday and on Friday it was a go ..... I emailed my recruiter many times as I learned they do not return voice mail messages very often . But I'm on and doing great ... Good luck to you guys.
