So Texas is not a good area for Freight? I live in Central Texas and I am planning to go LS mid 2013.

Texas is a great area for cheap freight, no matter who you work for. The trick is to sniff out the exceptions to the rule. I've done it in FL, so it should be very doable in TX as well.

Texas has a lot of decent freight. You just have to sniff it out. We ship heavily out of Dallas to points all over for D & H Vans.

I agree. I've had good luck from the Dallas area, as well as El Paso. South Texas, as well as Brownsville - Laredo suck for dry van. As he said, you have to find the agents with the good stuff. They're out there. I consistently get $2-$3/mile from the Dallas ares.

Never been to Rockford or GP. Are they as nice as St Aug, Jefferson or the one in PA? ;)

If I make it to BCO Days, I get 2 free nights in a motel, three free Continental Breakfasts, three free lunches, two free dinners and $250 loaded onto my Comdata card.

Oh heck yea! I skipped stopping there. Decided to try and get to Tucson in time to get empty, this afternoon. Now, work your magic phone and get me back east from there. I got less than two weeks to get back east, so I can see your smiling face at BCO Days.:biggrin_25526:
