Bertscova try Lone Mountain leasing. I have heard a lot of guys get decent deals from them with not so great credit. 1 dollar buy out lease.

Are you talking about for the HM finger prints? It is just through the local TSA office. I figure it shouldn't take much time to get it. It took me 10 days the first time I registered for it. I hope having a TWIC, still having a clear record, only having to renew my papers, and having my secret clearance should make the process a little faster!

I thought you were saying you put your application in at Landstar, so I was asking who was processing it.

Oh I got you, I did that also. I'm going to call today about it and find out. I'm not sure who it is.

Watch your Elogs BCOs. Log Department is auditing them and making changes without first contacting you to question why.

Going to go van at first. I really want to pull a step but there is such a long wait list. I would settle for a flat also but I figure just starting I want as much cash on hand for emergencies instead of going out and buying all my securement stuff since I don't want to go cheap on anything. I figure I can buy the stuff a little at a time and see what happens. The good thing is I do have a bunch of E track straps and starps with latching hooks and found a killer deal on these D ring type things that clip into the tracks. Now I just need to buy a few load locks and I will be off to a great start. I honestly want to go back to pulling open deck but I think I might just go ahead and get my own trailer depending on rates and the like

    I ended up buying a 01 Volvo 770 575DD 18 speed 3.73 rears loaded up O/O spec truck.

Battle Born and whoopNride Thank this.

There should be some steps available in September when LS gets their new batch and the BCO's that bought them get theirs. Go ahead and get on the list for a step now with Brenda, so when you're ready, there will be less of a wait. Find out if they are requiring you to attend securement. If so, route yourself through Grand Prairie in the near future and go ahead and take the class.

Thank you for the info! I will make sure to get that done!

How often do you guys already on with LS recommend me calling to check on my application status?

I had a question, I was told by ls that you are paid on your comdata card, I was wondering how do most people get that money of the card and into the bank? I was going to start a business account to pay my truck bills but I was a little confused? And also is the insurance company Landstar uses any good? Do they have good rates and how is there service?
