That's actually how a lot of guys get in trouble with Sky Bitz. They never change their trailer in the computer and now that trailer is in Cali while they are in Georgia. When you drop and hook you have to do a status update.

oh ok, thank you

i was checking landstar and mercer out. im leaning more to landstar. i pull flatbed and want know how is it? when you apply, would DOT inspection violations count against you from being hired? no tickets here and a clear record. any info is appreciative, thanks.
-
Your csa score, you know, the one they said that they would never use in hiring or firing, yeah that affects you being leased on. Clean record is just about tje only way Landstar will look at you. But they say this is the year of the driver and with the economy bouncing back companies are clamoring to hire drivers and wages are going up, allegedly. Flatbed freight is running good and has been for a few months now. I try and haul at least $5000 gross revenue a week and I can pretty much do that and be pretty lazy. Basically one decent load a week will get me to my goal so anything above that is great. Right now I am doing a load that pays 3.52 per mile with a gross revenue of $7504 bucks. Legal load 10,000 lbs. Easy load.
lowjo Thanks this. -
If you've pulled a company trailer and where inspected then yes the points are on your CSA but If they know it wasn't your trailer then exactions are madelowjo Thanks this. -
Ok, thanks. Yeah, I got level 1 earlier this year but not a high csa score from that. I like the fact they do the routine
check up. So, typically you guys dont have a problem hitting financial goals or running a pattern you set forth?
How is it using elog? can you maintain the same productivity or is it hindering? I have noticed some drivers talk how an
agent will get loads before they hit the boards, is it worthy to rely on the load board? or do you have to use it?
I'm sure I'll have a couple more questions. again, thanks -
Anybody has an Elog in there truck with an ECM tuner like a Pittsburgh Power Box or Bully Dog?? I curious to know would they interfere with each other.
-
What most agents do is if they know someone in the area that have hauled for them before or does it on a consistent basis, they will give him/her a call before posting the load. Agents all will call you before posting a load if your bring in a load to a said location & they have a reload coming out the same location or one nearby.
I kinda use my Load Alert system more than actually looking on the board. load alerts actually is loads being put on the board and you'll get a email or phone call once a load that you have set up in your parameters is available.
