Interesting. I see others saying they got temp plates, then permanents later. I got permanent plates to begin with. After orientation I sat at the truck stop for two days waiting on a trailer assignment, then I went on the road for a couple of months. I didn't go back home first. I started in February of 2016. ...dunno

The recruiter overnighted everything to me as just soon as I was approved, so only one day. It took a few days after my inspection for me to get approved because the first recruiter I dealt with listed a ticket I had gotten as two tickets. I had hired a lawyer and gotten it reduced to a non-moving violation so my MVR said one thing and my PSP said another, and she was double counting it. I almost didn't get hired because of it.

Well I'm going to orientation Monday. Can loads be booked, all paperwork be done on a smart phone or a laptop, or is a printer / scanner needed?

You could do it that way. I've been told that you can send in all your bills by the app. I use a laptop and have a 3 in 1 printer in the truck.

Sparks. And just got some awesome news. I don't have to take the truck. They will give me the logging device and TK here in Phoenix will install it. That is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can download the transflo app and scan your bills like that..... Ive been doing it for a few years now. Instant email confirmation and no lost bills......

 

That's how it was for me too...went to Sparks, left the truck at home and had the QC installed at TK in SLC when I got back. Lisa is the orientation coordinator there. Odds are you'll be the only one there so you can just cover things at your own pace and ask whatever questions you have.

I bought HP1510 printer from walmart about 3 years ago, it's just whatever the cheapest one was, I think it was about $35.

Well payroll seems to have blown my first trip. Scanned at Transflo almost a week ago..............nothing posted.

Yes trip, truck, trailer on all pages. Signed BOL's & IFTA report & logs ( pre e log ) all scanned. Yes I have a scan receipt.

Is this common?

How do you possibly trust them?

How can I not follow every scan with a phone call now?

I have never had a problem. I don't use Transflo though. I have a scanner and a laptop so I use Landstar Directscan.

Your contractor's statement should show all of your outstanding trips and whether a BOL has been received or not. Look for your statement under Money / Direct Documents on the portal website.
