Last I heard they have no age limit , it just has to pass a landstar 120 day inspection

That's the only reason I'm not sure , it has always been no age restriction , but with e-logs ? No one really knows what will change .

Thinking about bringing my 1998 freightliner FLC120 over to landstar. Is it equipped for their elogs? Can I tell by looking at the engine? How will I be able to tell if I can or can't?

I don't think any engine before 2000 build will work with an ELD , but I think we still have drivers with older trucks , not sure about new hires .
Landstar has so many rules , you need to pre qualify .
They can be fussy about hiring drivers

Our engine is pre 2000 and it's on a ELD. It works so it's not an engine thing that way. Our truck is. Glider too. The ELD in it does have times but we think it's more company related that the ELD which is Peoplenet. Computer is old no one really educated on it in company either.

I think Elogs will work on trucks as far back as 92-93
