I dont. Years ago you had to be gone from Landstar/Have your MC active for a year before you could become an approved carrier but dont know if that still applies.

There's a few agents I deal with that will load me as QC.
Most are preloaded. Have to leave a trailer(s) there, or they would still do it, but need said trailer for a few days.
That's part of it.
I can deal with the other superpowers and keep all the money.
And lastly we won't be under landstar's F thumb anymore. -
Hate to tell you this. Yes you get 17%. But that’s after a percentage has done been taken off that to pay Landstar. You do get more thru Landstar than you do brokering. Sorry to tell you that my friend.

Sorry to tell ya Rh, but what you said simply isn’t true. If the agent brokers it out at 17% of gross the agent makes the same as putting it on a bco. Anything more than that and the agent gets the rest. If you don’t believe me, ask your favorite agent how it works. I’ve been here 10 years.

quick question. Supposed to start orientation on monday got my permit book and ifta sticker etc over nighted and received today. However there was not a plate in the package. I filled out the plate request form. I still have plate from previous company on tractor. Can I roll to orientation with that plate or do I need to wait for the landstar plate?
