The secret to landstar is to be familiar with the app"Load alert".
The load board should be your last resort.
When high paying loads hit the board its first come first serve.
Your phone in your hand and dial the agent asap.
if the money is good you negotiate and discover if you can do the load or not.
Email posts faster than phone notification.so set up email notifications.
When agents offer you loads usually no-one wants to do them .
Don't accept them unless you are desperate.
preparation is money profit. Make sure you use the fuel cards for fuel discounts.
Before you start driving for Landstar know the App that's money in the bank.
There are some facebook groups that are from landstar drivers .they will help you.
Know the rules and if you follow the rules you will love Landstar.

Will Landstar rehire you after a year for termination due to log violation (PC)

 

I don't know. But I'm pretty curious, what did you do? You have to be pretty #### blatant to get fired for personal convenience driving.

I don’t know what a false log ticket is. I’m inquiring for a friend of mine wanting to come back over.

Yes, they will rehire your friend after a year..... when safety calls you, they inform you that after a year you will be able to re-apply.

 

Hi all,

I'm trying to understand Landstar a bit better - can someone please help me understand what's going on with the Eastern European 'Vlads'? Where are they getting their loads from? If it's other brokers, why are they choosing to double broke it to Vlad rather than finding the capacity themselves? Isn't Landstar meant to be a premium service, in which case how can they make money buying Landstar capacity if not sold at a premium price?

Yes, they get them off other boards.

Just like the drivers, the brokers do what they want.

If you want to avoid these guys look for direct shippers or drop and hooks...
