Landstar questions

They call it the homeless shelter because driver sit their looking for loads and enjoying the warm Florida weather or they just camp out their. They have a fridge the driver use they are their so much. Ha ha. They have or had big lounge chairs you can sit in and watch TV. Plus it a place to park if going into Florida or coming out.

 

Hang out there long enough and you're bound to meet a few people who hang around crying the blues about how they aren't making any money and LS isn't fair. Listen close enough and you'll usually find they can't manage money or they have a mile long list of things they don't want to haul or places they won't go. The DFW homeless shelter is worse.

Oh no, I can't stand to listen to drivers whine and complain about not making money. Smh.

 

Homeless shelter?

 

I thought that was pretty funny. What they're saying is you know how a lot of these drivers out here look and smell like they've been living out on the streets? Probably some of those kinds hanging out at Landstar headquarters in Jacksonville.

 

I heard they kicked some of those guys out of the homeless shelter last year or year before last.......??? They are usually the trucks parked closest to the building lol

 

Seems I heard the same thing. You can tell who they are...they have their favorite chair in the driver's lounge, know the menu from Jenk's by heart and act like they own the place.

 

Bad news... I'm down with major engine trouble. So now, I'm trying to decide if I should try to get a new engine or just try to get another truck. This sux, I just put quite a bit of money into this truck within the last 4 months.

I still plan to go to Landstar after I get things straightened out.

 

I would say to stick with the devil you know....
