    I had to get one of my drives patched last week as I left the house.

    All packed, fresh PM, cats loaded, go to get loaded, and there's this GIANT F machine bolt in my one drive.

    F.

    Heavy load too. So got loaded, fueled, scaled, went by this one shop, and the dude was actually able to patch it.

    I was like F, cause these are at 195K, and I think they good for another 30 or 40 thousand at least.

    I run my own trailer.

    It all depends on where you run and what you run. I found that I was rarely doing Drop and hooks. And had too many issues with company trailers. I think they have freshened the fleet up a bit since then.

    I recommend running company trailer for a few months to see how your business shapes up.

    Yes they sell them.

    My best advice to you is take the Landstar webinar and see the actual load board in real time.

    You will find me to be very unhelpful when it comes to "how to" at Landstar.

    Why do I want to teach someone how to compete against me?

    Unless you want to run under my flag, that's a different story.

    To use their van they charge nothing, However you get an additional Percentage if you supply the trailer.

    They do sell the old trailers off once in a while.

    I think they may offer financing a trailer as an option after a year.

    A recruiter type person would be a better source for these questions, They should give you the solid info on what is in the current contracts and current corporate/LCAPP programs.
