It's right on landstars website... For using their trailer it's 65% using yours is 72%... That's for Vans... It gives the numbers for flats and other type as well

Thanks all. Just needed to verify every recruiting told me. I have moved forward with my LS application and look forward to being 100% in charge and independent.

My husband & I are leased to Landstar pulling their 53' dry van. We get 65% of what the load pays. If we had our own trailer we would be getting 72% of what the load pays.

We run kind of 3/4 team. There aren't a lot of team loads on the load board. The agents tend to book them directly with teams they've already established a relationship with. We've been here 5 months and had 3 team loads. It's actually helpful to have one person awake during business hours to work the load board and book your next load, run the business, etc. And with a 2nd driver you can pick up a load that a solo driver might not have been able to due to hours/10-hr break. So my husband does the bulk of the driving and I jump in to "scoot us further down the road" when we need to or to allow us to pick up the next load when he otherwise wouldn't have been able to. Hope this helps.

    Terry270 and roadmap65 Thank this.
