I count myself blessed as my current truck has all the fancy safety devices but they are not as disruptive as a few of the other trucks that I have driven.

    oh they are still there,
    just not obnoxious there.

I hear this beep or that light pops on... still all doing their job, and YES, they have been a benefit at different times too. So I won’t demand their removal or complain about them but I know not every truck is as nice and polite as mine seems to be.

You probably can’t if the truck is company’s property and that’s a safety feature to help you guys staying safe without getting in danger. Possible that it was request for the DOT to require to have the safety features install in the truck. Or the NHSA could have requested it to DOT to have company trucks install the lane departure alert.
It does keep you from getting to close to the other line from oncoming vehicle.

Should of heard me talking to the safety guy at my old company about mine.

“yeah I was on the white line or yellow line when passing/being passed. Should I let ol yeeyee there bump the side of my truck cause he’s watching Netflix, instead?”

Yeah, you keep thinking it is that simple. :)

The company's that manufacture that crap put in the least amount of effort for the most amount of profit. There are plenty of false-positives and other buggy garbage software that was just good enough to ship.

    BigTizle and jimjam38 Thank this.

Yep, I get collision warnings every now and then on dark downhills in the mountains. Crazy, but you’ve gotta stay alert

It’s a simple fix. Remove the wire that goes to the speaker, problem solved

Yeah didn't think of that but it's going through truck sound system. I would bet if you disconnected it, you have no radio. At least in my truck it will come through the corresponding speaker depending on the lane

You’re speakers should have a separate wire from the lane departure system.
