I don't think the build quality is cheap, it's more the mouting of the cyber trucker which makes it not so good. I actually liked the idea of having the fans built into the base. And now they've finally made it with a 12v plug so it doesn't have to be run off the USB.

the first ones you could build YOURSELF out of 2 nose mirror mounts, a metal wire inbox (walmart) 2 12v fans (radio shack) all for under $50 but he sells them (at that time) for $185 plus s & h, and yes the first ones did have the 12v fans, also it was so CHEEP that they had on covers on the fans so if you were to try to move the stand without unpluging the fans you could stick you fingers in the them when they were running..... not fun, oh and the fans made my laptop overheat..! (the fans took the air away from the laptops cooling fan). no instructions and when i called i was told "just figure it out". in the old ones you couldn't access the sides or front at all, the new ones you still can't access the front or sides well, the screen holder is a joke (it doesn't HOLD the screen) i still have it someplace and if i can find it i will post pic's.

Sorry I lied, I built it in 05, 6 yrs ago.... This design works good for your wider cabs that have lots of room between the seats like W-Star's & Volvo's. I have since modified it by adding a screen support since laptop hinges aren't all that strong.

There is enough give to absorb vibration and the top of the deck is made from floor mat that you use for your house. This also absorbs vibration as well as allow for air circulation under the computer.

    NO!

You need to keep your eyes on the road & your surroundings while driving. Playing on the laptop can wait until your stopped!!!
