    Hello everyone!

there’s another great thread with similar title but it’s from July 2019. Just wanted to see how the current job landscape is and if there’s plenty super 10 work around? We’re moving back to Las Vegas and buying our first truck. I also heard there’s a huge mall being built in Henderson and always lots of new residential.
Does anyone have current experience on how competitive it is to get some dump jobs?
    Thanks!

Construction is great as long as the economy is going. But don't expect much work during the winter.

BUT, you're talking about Vegas. Winter might not be an issue.

I learned from the recession. I'm staying away from construction. It was the most lost jobs of any industry.

thanks for your feedback! I’ve gotten some good info recently from brokers in Las Vegas and they say dump trucks stay pretty busy even in the winter. Yes Economy stay strong!! Best of luck!

I was hauling dirt when the economy collapsed. Like Vegas. We had a lot of construction sit idle for a couple of years. One building next to the freeway. Finally got finished after sitting for years.

When the economy crashed. There were a lot of trucking companies no longer. There were a lot that came from out of state. And went out of state. The bigger players were going to any state they could find work. Our newest corridor had southerners hauling the material.

The winter breaks were nice for some down time from over working summer hours. But my last winter was really long. The entire 6 months of unemployment. And the summer hours were cut in half. No more OT.

    I"m staying away from construction.
