The Tiremaxx Pro is the better system when your trailer tires get overheated in the summer months it can save you $$$. On our trailer it is the cats meow!! Better tire wear and if you have a nail or other object cause a tire leak the light will notify you that something is awry..
Last minute option added to our trailer, tire inflation

@Nahbrown --
I'm really impressed that you guys landed a job hauling military loads THIS SOON out of CDL school.
This tells me:
- you brought with you some significant CDL-related experience from being in the military
- you really wowed your carrier somehow in the interview process
- some combination of both the above
And -- best of luck.

HA! You guys are as predictable as 6:00 at 5:30. I'm normally not an agitator, but you guys have what is called "digital dependence". You couldn't possibly know what it's like to live without it. We do, we've seen the gradual change. Of course it's for the better, but it will do us in, and you may never even know it, because you are so intertwined with it. Our society can't "go back" and just as well, it was a tough job then, I couldn't imagine a new graduate doing that job 30 years ago. We didn't need "schools", we knew what to do, or could figure it out, that's what a boss looked for and little by little, it got easier. Better? Not sure, but I think there will be another "revolution" of sorts, and perhaps then you'll understand what we were talking about. It's not so bad, we laughed at our peers that marveled at power steering, air dryers and S cam brakes, so it's all relative, as I couldn't handle YOUR jobs today.
For the record, RR still uses tube type, some construction, but I think you are all a bit too concerned about that .06 pounds of pressure, when yeah, properly aired tires do last longer, but back then, tires weren't such a big deal and $50 bucks got you another one.Another Canadian driver, Boardhauler, Diesel Dave and 2 others Thank this. -
But I suspect that in the era you’re describing we didn’t have the race to the bottom that we have now either, with all these third world Cascadia drivers willing to haul freight for 10 cents a mile.
For a larger fleet with a few thousand trailers having to compete with the likes of that, I’d imagine tire costs add up fast.Another Canadian driver, Crude Truckin', cke and 2 others Thank this. -
The ones dad brought home that the company was just gonna get rid of, we patched and they went right in the swimming pool.Another Canadian driver, Crude Truckin', cke and 3 others Thank this. -

I’ve never dealt with this system you all are referring to. I’m with @201 , I thump my tires at every stop. I carry 50’ of hose with quick disconnects, glad hand, and air chuck and gauge. Today’s newer generation are just spoiled rotten. That’s all….. please continue
