2006 was the last year for no dpf. They had egr though. Some early 2007 trucks had 2006 model year engines in them.

I have an 05 Columbia with an 04 BXS ACERT C15.

First year for the ACERT from what I was told.

No emissions,.. no EGR,.. no DPF,.. no DEF.

Fantastic motor in my opinion. Someone told me the 05 C15 was pretty much the same.

07 was a mixed year for CAT. I read where someone said that 07 had no DPF. I was driving an 07 386 with C15 that had the DPF in it. Nightmare and complete lemon with 1 week a month spent in shops due to DPF and regen issues.

There were early 2003's off the production line with the older emissions motors then late 2003's with later emissions motors. Same with 2007 though it seems like DPF '07 is not really all that common. Sort of like a pre-emissions 2003 isn't either. Best to go with 2002 if you don't know exactly what motors you want.
