You're crazy if you sit there for 5 days. I might spend a few hours making calls before I started throwing off whatever your freight is by hand.

I don't think I'd sit free for a week. Take the pallets off or I'm taking back to shipper.
What costs you more money to sit or not get paid for the load.

Things happen all the time in trucking. Breakdowns, traffic, you name it. I mean we have a 2 hour window free of charge for loading and unloading

I get that, but he admitted to oversleeping. If he had said it was traffic, then I would be inclined to sympathize with him.

I would have said traffic instead of oversleeping but either way they are inhuman (I can't type the next 10 words) piles of human waste. They looked for a reason that they could use you for storage and they found one.

What I would do is take the truck back to the company and quit and find another job. If they don't fight like evil pizzed off dogs to get you unloaded they are worthless. If they DO fight and don't win they are also worthless.

If you were in my truck I would call and give them 30 minutes then I would have you bring the truck home and all of their #### would be kicked off and I would wait for the claim.

As of now you are surrounded by POS and they need awakened to that fact.

Unless it's got a Seal on it.
    That's a good idea though!!
If and when he gets to unload at the Receiver, and that seal is missing or been tampered with. They could refuse the load all together.
