Late for delivery 1 hour, have to wait 5 days

I’d have 4 pallets of whatever you have on for sale at the closest parking lot. Or shut your reefer down, turn in a cargo insurance claim for the damaged product, and dump it at their gate.

 

5 day wait for 4 pallets? No ####ing way. Yes, you overslept.. your fault.. but the receiving company not able to squeeze you in for 4 pallets until 5 days out? That load is getting dumped out the back.. and if the company doesn't fight for you to get you unloaded within a day I'd quit.. NO ONE should force you out of work for a whole week, thats just ridiculous.

Punish them, and put that load in cold storage. Your broker would have to be insane to not agree to that. You and your broker knows you guys won’t make any money sitting there for 5 days.

 

The receiver will do that if one of the receiver’s client cancels ahead of time. Yeah some clients are tough as nails like that ice cream company up in Vermont. Most clients would love to go direct but most of them don’t have the warehouse or dock big enough to put a 53.

Op is lucky in this one and they didn’t say to take the load back to the shipper because they were going order a new batch of freight.

Operations manager will eventually fire the planner who keeps rejecting loads.

Load would be thrown off the trailer by their front gate blocking a lane....I'll be ###### if someone tried to make me sit 5 days.

 

Just throw it in their lot.
