Yes they should unload him, it has nothing to do with other drivers. How many times could he have been penalized by being on time or before time and still waiting 4-7 hours to get unloaded?
Late for delivery 1 hour, have to wait 5 days

Broker most likely will not work with you either, or/and leave you a bad review on DAT. Get blacklisted/reviewed by few reputable brokers and you will have a hard time booking loads with anybody else.
If you have been in business for few years, built a good reputation and then get blacklisted by somebody it's not that big of a deal, but being new it can just break you if you are running spot market.
I, personally, in your position, would keep trying few times per day to get unloaded. If not, learn your mistake and don't get into this kind of situation anymore, since this was your fault anyways.ladr Thanks this. -
This whole thread is the reason I haul cars! I had an experience like this at Food Lion in Disputanta the day before my son's 1st Birthday.

This claim will affect my cargo insurance and not liability ? ( if so then should not be a problem since cargo is really cheap insurance ).
Also, what if I would stock in traffic and be late in the same situation? Just for future reference . I am first time in this situation .
ThanksDave_in_AZ Thanks this. -

There is one thing though to keep in mind.
The body does not "Over sleep" it will take whatever sleep is availible to it and then some. The reason we call it oversleeping is because society imposes appt times.
