Part 376 covers it. The carrier has 15 days to pay after BOL's(or supporting documents) and log's are turned in.

Why would you be late in turning them in? It sounds like they are trying to protect there CSA score as they should, by encouraging drivers to keep up to date logs and turning them in when asked.

IMO - yes a carrier has the right to withhold pay if they asked you to do something and you agreed to it whether in writing or verbally and then didn't do it. Especially if it affects a CSA score and is in the FMCSA manual to start with.

I've been shocked to learn over the last couple months at how truckers are the one group in America who have no fair expectation of rights and privileges. Yesterday I read about a guy that had 4 drug screenings in 42 days. Then there is the DOT police who go after you until they find something. Then there is your company who is watching you with driver facing cameras. Now your HUGE paychecks are being held for not turning in paperwork. There is no other industry where the disdain is more prevalent.

I still want to be a trucker, but I don't think I'll enjoy being treated like a new puppy who messed on the rug.

logs are turned in late all the time. (sometimes). along with bol's. (sometimes).

it's not like we have a mailbox at our disposal every where we go.

regarding 4 drug tests in 42 days id say he had something in his past .as far as logbooks go companies as well as the driver get fined if driver has 21 or 28 days of white copies in his possession if im not mistaken .i see no problems with companies doing due diligence why should other drivers have a higher inspection rate due to 1 drivers laziness or intent to cheat
