Paccar ESA (electronic service analist) works with RP1210 adapters. For trucks with EOBD u need RP1210C (DPA 5 for example ore latest Nexiq).

I use DAF Davie, becouse it supports not only engine, but some other european electronic stuff, like ECAS, EBS.

Launch, Autocom can only do limited things!

Yes, no reason to waste money to universal tools becouse u wanna be a profy of Paccar engines!

 

It's not just the trucking industry that is like this. I've lost count of how many times I'd get a fault that isn't even listed in the service or troubleshooting manual. So all you can do is either start changing parts (I refuse to resort to this unless I have a good reason to suspect it to be at fault), or call the manufacturer and hope they have the answer. I've actually been told "we can't help you. We've gone through the entire fault diagnostic process and we don't know what else to do. Bye!"

Yes, DAF is a part of Paccar and many ideas for Pete and KW are from Holland. Not only Paccar-MX engine, but... new KW and Pete electronic architecture with VIC unit.

It is globalisation! Look at small KW cabovers - it is DAF LF and CF series with KW logo.

K500 got DAF 105 cabin.

In Europe DAF uses Cummins engines too. So all is mixed in global truck world.

 

Do u know how does Delfi-Paccar SMART fuel injection work?

It is wierd mix of EUP but with ultra high pressure with electronically controlled injector (like on CRD engines),

Mechanically this engine is evolution of Paccar 12.6 Euro-3 engine. It has EUP with Bosch MS-6 ECM.
