    But what were they doing? Seriously......I read about similar situations at multiple companies all the time, and I ask myself, "If you could shed 1,700, 1,500, 1,000 people in a day, just WTF were these people doing and who was in charge?"

    Probably administrative staff but at the same length Southwest in its early days was known for its staff being “hands on”,from ticketing to baggage handling to loading aircraft.
    Multitasking at its finest.

    That is literally a million dollar question of the day-how do you layoff 1000 to 1700 in one day when you’ve never had to in your company’s entire history?

    Bad management for sure… How many times have we seen companies hire CEOs and those CEOs turn to be garbage and ruin the company or People the CEO hires
