It would make me insane. It will get disgustingly filthy when dirt start to collect on it.

There's my engine last night. No dress up. I just keep it like this. 610,000

my engine was not leaking until February. then it started leaking oil. I was thinking that rear crank seal is leaking . I checked the engine and found the leak places. O-rings of HP fuel pump and air compressor. Started the job yesterday and I think I will finish it in 2 days. 20190507_182351.jpg 20190507_182440.jpg

take that plastic bag off and keep the connector inside. One day you will lose it. it's on top off steering wheel shaft.

I’d leave a little grease around the steering shaft splines. You must have just washed it. Lol looks great. I’d have to wash mine everyday, Its a leaker! I can’t wait to OH and paint it. Got some old Detroit Green for that nostalgic look.

I leave it wrenches hands. I'm due for a PM. I can't stand dirty truck. You see some of these guys go "I have a problem........."
And I'm thinking "Holy Jesus Christ, it's a giant grease/dirt/oil ball. How can you even tell what you're looking at."

It's $9 for an engine wash. Slide em' a few bucks and they do the whole compartment.

I'm afraid of water getting in the electrical.

Finally pulled out air compressor and the fuel pump. Whose idea was this stupid rear gear train . #### that engineer-designer. Must be a sadomasochist. 20190508_103336.jpg 20190508_103330.jpg 20190508_103109.jpg 20190508_103037.jpg The o-ring of air compressor was dry. My DD15 is 2012 MY and has 850k miles.

Valuable information for our younger viewers. This is one reason you inquire how long a truck has been sitting if you are considering purchasing. Seals and rings dry out. Sometimes they come back, sometimes not.

Casper even feels better seeing all that spooge cleaned off.
