They have replaced that seal. Used chisel and hammer, because they did not have the seal driver. And you have this issue. No way to install that seal without proper seal driver ...

Oh, I just got done having the shop look at it. So, they are telling me it's the input shaft leaking on the transmission. That it needs to be dropped 800 to 2000 for transmission work. Then the shops labor for dropping and lowering the transmissions.

Now I'm 500 Miles away from Houston. Im bobtail. They say the transmission shop can get stacked up. Grrrr which means I can sit here for a week in Arkansas. Trailer is in STL at the tank wash.

I have to find it in the morning and then I will know how long it will be . I want Togo to H town and then NOLA in my car to take care of personal business. Rather than stay here until Monday.

You said you were leaking oil, not transmission fluid. Unless you misspoke the person at that shop is a moron.

I had my shop screw up the rear main when swapping a motor and tranny in. I made them pull the transmission and fix it on their dime.

Im certain it was motor oil, but I'm not a mechanic. But transmission fluid is how much different???? It's very clear, what falls on the ground is black. They say it's black since the bell housing is black dirty. I'll crawl underneath it in morning and look again.

Transmission fluid in semi manuals is a thick gear oil usually. Much thicker than motor oil. More importantly though from what I've read you've been having to add motor oil. Not top off the transmission...

Ok... take it to a different shop. If it was transmission fluid, you wouldn't have to add gallons of motor oil.

It's BS. The one thing cant be their fault it magically is. I added engine oil a nearly full gallon jug.
