Been trucking for awhile an have had many CBs but I still don't know the technical aspects of these radios and how to gauge and correct performance. Does anyone know of a good book or some other instructional source to learn more about radios?

What are you wanting to learn about them?
Are you just wanting to figure how to get inside and tweak on one in an attempt to maximize performance?
Or are you trying to figure out the uses for the knobs on the exterior? -

IF you want a wide view of radios antennas how they work and even how to build them look for the ARRL HANDBOOKS .

There are many old books from the 1970's about CBs. Some might have been scanned in by now. Google is your friend.

Thanks for the input people. Really wanted to start by learning how to properly use all the knobs. I bought a Connex 4600 but gave that to a friend and just have a 29ltd which seems to be easier to use. I'll look up the sites that have been suggested, thanks again.
