So what happens to your truck?

I have gone over my 14. It happens twice a year is about what I do. 11 maybe 3 or 4 times a year. It happens. I never gotten fired. Its normally accident or tire becomes flat. Or shippers jacks every thing up, Chicago rush hour.

    Lonesome and Newdriver813 Thank this.

Swift, central Florida? I’m guessing you might be near Ocala, if so there’s quite a bit of opportunity around here, really depends what you’re looking for work wise and what earning potential you’re trying to hit. I’ve been in central Florida my whole life and think I know quite a bit of the opportunities that exist.

What happens to the lease truck. He's been paying on it getting closer to ownership and now all that time is taken away. I know two people who have been screwed doing this.

This is reason number 5 of 812 why LP from a carrier is a bad idea. In theory, as long as the person keeps making the payment, they can keep the truck. In practice, the carrier just takes the truck without even inquiring if the driver is able to make the payments. They usually can't cover the payments until they can get on with another carrier, but that's reason 152 why LP is a bad idea.

I think he should have said, " they terminated my contract...".

Some or many leases are not made to ever cause the driver to ever own the truck. They are like an apartment lease. No matter how many decades you live in the apartment with a lease you never get closer to owning it. That's why it's cheaper than a house with a mortgage.

He’s running 2 clocks without a student on the truck. Hey guys, if you’re going to be criminal, be the criminal mastermind. Don’t be so blatantly easy to catch. Forget about a lawyer. Learn from your mistakes and move on.
