Is it 1500 a week minimum or .35 cpm.
It can't be both.
What's a bad week, 4000 or 6000 miles.
What about 5200 miles.

Is he going to put it in writing if you two run
X amount of miles in a week that you get the
1500 minimum and not .35cpm.
What if he needs the money for a set of tires and
Decides not to give you the 1500 that week.
What are you gonna do then.

Why bother with this guy. Get out there on your
Own and do your own thing.
