I read alot. I do not watch tv.

I also have a very good memory for names and information.

It was also meant that all you have to do is click on his name and pull up his prior posts and you would see the tracks of where he posts. Very simple and does not take all day.

I go for several days and sometimes a week without it when I am in Canada.

I'm leased to PTL, have been there since Dec. My previous lease we shall not go into. I've been pretty happy with them so far. After all expenses I average 1,000-1800 a week, after I take 30% for taxes. I have a 07' int 9400i, I run between 60-65 an average 6.5-7.3mpg depending on weight. I run my truck as it is a business, I use an android app for cheapest fuel en-route. My wife an I typically eat in my truck, I usually grill. I'm very happy an content with life at the moment, I love the freedom, I have a great dispatch team who puts the miles on my truck. So really I can't complain.

Here's how I know what I'm talking about: I study everything. I'm a fine print kind of guy. I like to know how things work. At one point I was all wild eyed and wanted to do this L/P business. And then I started doing the math on it. I started asking questions. You tell me how you can make it in 2012 on .92 a mile while fuel is up over $4 a gallon with a decent sized truck note. Explain that to me. Because there is no way to do it. After 4 years of making lease payments, then you can make the balloon payment. 4 years from now, a lot of these trucks won't be able to enter California. Say you head on over to WEL and want to do this lease purchase of a 2006 truck. That's 6 years old already with 20-25 drivers in and out of it. Say you do a 2 year lease. Now you have an 8 year old truck you can't put on with anyone. Prime, CRE, brand new truck, high note, high buyout. You're going to afford that? Or are you going to continue to pay on another one you'll never own. You're buying yourself a job. You are paying to drive someone's truck. Not yours. And by the way, my mileage has yet to drop. The major companies are going to L/P because there is a sucker born every day.

I guess so. But how many 22 year olds do you know that make a grand a week and are not sitting on a couch drunk or stoned? Plus I like to prove myself against the people who complain about "fleece purchase" deals. But I'm currently saving to buy a truck cash, now that I know I can run the business this is only temporary.

In my case the higher the fuel price, the more money I make. That's the secret behind the fuel surcharge. Right now I'm getting $.50 a mile loaded and $.40 a mile empty. So, if I keep my mpgs up my fuel cost actually goes down.

My concern about fuel price has more to do with the economy in general. As long as the economy keeps going I'll be fine.

My same exact opinion. The more the price of fuel goes up the more I take home but if it goes too high I am afraid the freight levels will go down.
