Suppose it is always $0.90/mile x 75% + $0.22 surcharge= $0.90/mile That may be the "bottom," but suppose you consistently get that rate. Could you count on 3000+ miles a week?

    .9 x 3000= $2700 /3= $900

That is $900/week for OO - insurance, truck payment, repairs, right?

Sounds about like break even point to me.

medicine man...you can hook freight out of canada..no problem..actually you as an American driver can even do point to point inside of canada..no law against that. If you can get loads to Alberta you can have spent catalist back to braithwate la from the oil patch in ft macmurry..pays well to. You guys shoud run into the great white north on your own athority..good bucks to be made.

$2/mile for long hauls? That sounds pretty #### good in this climate!

How much can you expect to make on the back hauls, $1.15?

I cant say for certain...but it would have to be at least that....i know that they "were
"paying for port huememe (forget the spelling)..to edmonton bananas. 3500-4000 canadian..so converted that still leaves 31-3500 on the table. that would be something like 1800 miles..so real close to 2 a mile. If you guys want to get used to the border routine it should pay dividends to you..it is worth it.
