For instance, I file as an S corporation and I'm an employee on the books. I pay myself every month and use the payroll option with Quickbooks Pro. It tabulates everything, including all payment liabilities, etc.

The State of Oregon just went live with a new Payroll reporting venue. Easy as pie to use. Plug in the numbers and it tabulates and creates the payroll reporting form (electronically) right there on the spot. Hit the "pay" tab and it's done. Download the completed form with confirmation as a pdf and drop it into a file.

The IRS has a similar venue...

It's great that these tax collecting agencies have finally streamlined these processes and have made it easier for us business folks to use without having to pay some accountant to do it for us.
