Can someone lease a truck from a company through one of their lease purchase programs and then hire their own team driver? Can they team at all? What are some options if someone was looking to getting into it with someone else as a team. The co-driver has been driving for 24 years so Im hoping that that will help us with experience issues, he leased a truck through prime once before and said he did well with it. Didnt get rich with yatchs and summer homes but he said he made good money. He had some health issues with his wife so he ended the lease and went home, otherwise he said he would still be involved with it, he is just looking for a kick in the pants to get going again with the lease side of driving. Is it even possible to do like that?

Why lease?? Why not just go out and buy your own and make your own financing deal.. It'll be a lot cheaper...
PRIME... made "good $$" hmmmm ... those two words are rarely put together in the same sentence when talking about Prime, they have a miserable track record.. Just look at all the trouble they have had with lawsuits and all with OOIDA (by the way they lost) for screwing drivers on their leases.. DO some digging, you'll see, lease purchases arn't what they are cracked up to be.. LOTS of people have lost their butts and MORE trying it.. -
To answer you question Yes some companies look for team lease that said ARE YOU OUT OF YOU RABBIT *** MIND!!! most companies have no intention of you finishing your lease let alone paying you enough to pay your driver most lease purchase a scams when you get down to it. I read on somewhere where a driver did that lease/purchase with a company and when he went to get what he though was a new truck all they had was used ones and they told him it will be 3-6 weeks before they could get him a new one which they had no intention of doing they need to get rid of the the old one that the other lease driver almost paid off but all of sudden freight got slow for them because the new lease drivers was getting the freight and the one that was almost finish with their lease well new guy coming in next week will start all over with the payments on that truck
Another Someone on here was telling about how they was almost finish with the lease and was called and fired. Money down the drain
Why do you think companies do lease/purchase they make money left and right off itHedon Thanks this.
