No, I don't know what their requirements are and I don't know if they have lease on trailers or not. Sorry. Why don't you give them a call and they will be happy to tell you the requirements and if they have a trailer lease program.

I'm leased to a small outfit and I get 90% of the load, whatever I book. I have a dispatcher that finds me freight and I find my own sometimes. What benefits does Admiral Merchants offer that would justify me only receiving 75-83% of the load?

Probably much better rates and freight not having to deal with those rascally brokers. And how many unmentioned charge backs do you pay eating even further into that 90%? Likely most of that gets covered from Admiral's cut. Looking at straight up percentage and judging a company on how high or low it is rarely ever a clear cut "high percentage of the take to the truck good, low percentage bad" in fact sometimes the opposite can be true.

I can see that, I think they could be a possible better fit if they pay for the liability and cargo insurance out of their cut...do you know if that's how they work at Admiral?

I have no idea what they pay. Not really my kind of company all open deck work.

Yes they pay Liability and Cargo Ins out of that %. I talked with them a while back. One advantage of a company like Admiral is their agents will have some good direct freight in certain areas. 75% of Good freight is better than 90% of cheap freight.

I don't know, I didn't go with them. They have agents all over the US. I did talk to a couple of agents within 150 miles I of me that claimed to have some good open deck freight. Maybe @The Admiral will come along, he has been with them a long time if I remember right.

Cargo and liability is paid out of the 25%. That's with most
    companies that take out 25%.

    nofilter and Iron-Man Thank this.
