Why not? It doesn't really make a difference if they charge back for it or not depending on what percentage they take off the top. You're paying for it either way not them. But I agree if they're taking 25% they ought to cover it from that 25% take.
-
That's my point. If they get 25 percent I should be under their liability insurance at the very least. Insurance for my own numbers will cost me about 1000 a month. That's one the major advantages to leasing on for me personally. The ability to not accrue a $1000 month bill if my truck is down, freight is slow, illness or I take off etc etc.

If you go on there website and start the application process it will tell you the requirements. I can't think of them right now. I have been torn between leasing to them or running my own authority.
nofilter and JimmyWells Thank this. -
Considering leasing there myself, any current o/o leased there can say how they like it ?

I as well would like to hear/see some current reviews of Admiral Merchants, since I am seriously considering leasing on with them. Consistency of freight, ballpark of rates and availability of trailer leasing options would be nice as well. Anybody? Thanks in advance

I'm leased to AMMF. I'm happy here. I've had my own authority and AMMF seems to be much like that. I like the options I have here. I normally find my own freight, occasionally I'll take an AMMF brokered load, but more than 90 percent of my loads I find myself. I've never had a problem finding a load, ever because we can find loads from ANY source. No hand holding here. Can't help with trailer options since I brought my 2017 transcraft stepdeck here that I purchased alone.
I sit at home for a week to 10 days then run until I get tired of the road. Sometimes I like staying out and being free, so I'll run for 3 weeks to a month (big house tractor)---other times I find loads that are out and back. No one in the office will call you unless you want to be called, its really up to you. Rates are what you agree upon. Don't like cheap freight?, don't book it. Like to haul light, then find loads that are light. Since you book all your own freight, everything is up to you.Last edited: Mar 13, 2017
