    JBS, Swift, maybe Heyl (not sure if they run newbies), or maybe USX.

    @Lspilot82 --
    Man,... that blows!!! So sorry.
    Prime told me they don't hire south of Orlando, but you might want to check with them just in case; maybe they'll stretch it if you're close enough.
    Stevens (the first company I learned of from a local classified ad) is located in Dallas, TX.
    US Xpress (which I learned of at a local CDL seminar) is in Chattanooga,TN [ALL of their trucks are automatic, plus they all have sideview "blindspot" cameras!!].
    Celadon (discovered early-on via a Google search) is in Indianapolis, IN.
    Greatwide 'Dedicated' Transport (discovered on www.classadrivers.com) is in Dallas, TX (no OTR; no-touch freight; home weekly!).
    Sorry, I can't vouch for ALL of these; I'm still a newbie.
    Check out the aforementioned website, though; it has lists of carriers with individual summary pages and a comparison chart.
    BTW, what CDL school did you attend, and how much was the tuition? Also, do you happen to know if WEL ran a credit check?
    Thanks!
    Blessings

    Check out Knight Refrigerated. They are close to the WEL terminal. You can check out Windy Hill too, out of Eustis. Armellini? Maybe look through Craigslist. I have seen quite a few driving jobs on there recently in Florida.

    As for your whole WEL deal, those recruiters get paid no matter what, per head of the guys they can get to come to orientation whether they make it through or not. So as long as you show up to orientation that recruiter gets his money for you. Little things on apps are often overlooked or fudged so that the recruiter makes his money.

    Lspilot82 Thanks this.

    Yea I've checked out so many companies and if time wasnt a factor I wouldnt be going with Trans Am, I would chill and look for the best I can get. I think Trans Am from what I've read isnt that bad. I will stay as a company driver and will not get into a lease. I will do my year then move on if need be. The whole WEL thing was a bummer but I have to move on. If I didnt have any bills and wasnt about to lose my car then I would take some more time looking for a alternative. Anyway, I cant be to picky right now with having a misdemeanor, so I have to take what I can get. Hopefully It all works out.

    Lonesome Thanks this.
