Really dislike my trainer, got a week left. Should I stay with my company for a few months or quit right away after training for the oil fields?

I won't tell you which way to go. But I can tell you this that $600-900 a week gross OTR. You earn If you go to the right company in the oilfield you'll pay that much in taxes per week. And for all of you driving is a way of life people out there save it. I do what I do for money.

Life's a pain, people will not be what you want them to be in life, so I would live with it because training is only a little part of the job, experience is important and when they ask you why you left the company and you come up with a lame excuse, you won't get the job you are trying to get.

tuff it out i know some trainers just are hard ##### and some are bad just a few are true and some comp. take the truck and run like a team and that makes it hard on the trainer and stress gets the better of you 2 as long as hes teaching you right and not just using you for the miles $$$ every one can get a new trainer and not all can live the life had 1 guy with me for 3 weeks he got in a fight with his wife and quit and ran home he had 1 week left and would been getting his truck sad he was a good driver now if he tryes to get back he has to do it all over

Hey-If you are driving a crude oil or water truck, the training isn't that long.I'm guessing two or three weeks. So one more week, you are either half or two-thirds of the way done. When i did mine,i figured they could train different.Just remember it's their game.Play it by their rules. It gets over with soon enough.Short of illegal or dangerous,it's one more week. Then you know what's best for you.Take care.Brian

This is my second trainer. I've learned one thing in life; if people treat u like crap, then treat them like crap right back. This company can be better, I don't like some of the things they do. If I stay, I don't plan to stay long.

Don't know where you're located, but my advice would be to get your experience driving elsewhere, then come to the oilfield. Lots of companies around here aren't really considering anyone with less than 2 years experience, due to a massive rash of accidents involving novice drivers.
